Jaguar Land Rover is increasing its presence in the Northern Powerhouse by investing £130m into its Halewood plant in Liverpool.

The investment will fund various improvements at the site in a bid to increase productivity. At present, a completed vehicle leaves the production line every 82 seconds.

Jaguar Land Rover employs around 4,200 people directly at the plant and more than 1,000 agency staff. This brings the total workforce to around 6,000 people.
