Liverpool start-up financing company reaches milestone
The Government-backed Start Up Loans Company (SULCo) announced recently that it has lent a total of £3.5 million to new businesses in Liverpool since 2012 – and plans to lend another £400,000 over the next six months, to a variety of vibrant start-ups keen to grow.
Joanna Hill, interim chief executive at SULCo, said: “Achieving £3.5m of lending is a key milestone for The Start Up Loans Company.
“Liverpool is famous for many things, from the Beatles to world-class footballers, but we’d also like it to be known for producing some of Britain’s best budding microbusinesses. As we predict to lend £400,000 to Liverpool microbusinesses over the next six months, it’s set to be another busy period for entrepreneurs in Liverpool and we are proud to support this growth.”
