BECG PARTNERS WITH THE NORTHERN POWERHOUSE

BECG, the UK’s leading communications consultancy for the built environment, has become the latest partner of the government’s Northern Powerhouse Partner Programme – a network of over 300 companies who are driving forward the biggest investment in the North for a generation.

Minister for the Northern Powerhouse, the Rt Hon Jake Berry, MP said:
“It’s great to welcome BECG as the newest member of the Northern Powerhouse Partner Programme. Our partners represent a network of over 300 businesses who share our vision for the Northern Powerhouse and continue to work together to help the North reach its full economic potential as we prepare to leave the EU on 31 October.

“I’m excited to see the contribution BECG will make to the Northern Powerhouse as they support businesses to attract investment into the region and build upon our £120 million Local Growth Fund investment across the Leeds and Greater Manchester regions.”

With regional offices in Manchester and Leeds, BECG champions better understanding and acceptance of built environment projects and the value that comes from investment in the sector. The Northern team has provided expert counsel on some of the most challenging and prestigious built environment projects across the region, including the expansion of MediaCityUK in Salford, the UK’s first ‘net zero’ carbon cluster in the Humber, thousands of new homes across the North, plus new retail and leisure spaces.

Kevin Whitmore, Director for BECG North said:
“I am delighted to be able to announce BECG’s partnership with the Northern Powerhouse Programme.

“Our team has worked in every local planning authority across the North, helping to deliver investment into the region’s built environment and create social value for local communities – the foundation of a more prosperous northern economy.

“We look forward to collaborating with other partners throughout 2019 and beyond to showcase the North as a great place to do business.”
