Queen’s Award Winner and leading language services provider, Language Insight have announced that they are now partners with the Northern Powerhouse.
The Northern Powerhouse is Government’s vision for a more prosperous North with good-paying jobs for hard-working people, better roads and railways, higher-performing schools and world-beating universities.
With their Head Office located in Lancashire, Language Insight are one of the growing number of UK businesses in the North to join the Northern Powerhouse network. As a partner, Language Insight will work towards building a Northern Powerhouse in one or more of the five key areas; Connectivity and transport, Education and skills, Enterprise and innovation, Trade and investment, and Quality of life.Language Insight’s Managing Director, Donna Twose states:

We hope to work alongside the other Northern Powerhouse partners to promote the North as a hub for international trade, and we are aiming to continue our investment in the North as we carry on growing our teams in Preston.”
Trade and investment is the area in which Language Insight hopes to contribute the most towards as a Northern Powerhouse partner, as 49% of Language Insight’s turnover now comes from international trade. The company has achieved an overseas growth rate of 230% over the past 3 years which emphasises how the North is a great place to do business, both in the UK and internationally. This international growth has meant that Language Insight is one of the 29 northern businesses to be honoured with The Queen’s Award For Enterprise For International trade 2019.
Language Insight have also invested heavily in the set-up of their head office within the North of England which currently provides numerous job opportunities for local talent within the North West, and global talent all over the world from the likes of Germany, Japan, and China. The language services provider also works alongside local universities, such as Lancaster University, to provide placements for language students who are looking for work experience and graduate jobs.
