International energy logistics provider Peterson has joined the Northern Powerhouse Partner Programme, a government-led initiative aimed to boost the local economy through investment in skills, innovation, transport and culture.
Peterson has recently celebrated its 100th anniversary and is a major employer supporting clients with integrated logistics services from key locations across England including West Cumbria, Heysham Port, Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft Port.

Peterson continues to expand its business in England and has recently announced two significant contract awards from Sellafield Limited and Shell.
A four-year contract with Sellafield Limited will see Peterson continue as the operator of the Control Tower and Security and Distribution Centre (S&DC) at Lillyhall, which includes managing inbound logistics, warehousing and secure distribution of goods.
The contract award from Shell includes quayside, warehousing and transport services from Peterson’s Lowestoft base and is set to continue until at least January 2022.
Peterson has also announced this month the completion of a new fuel bunkering facility at its supply base at Lowestoft Port to support clients operating in the UK Southern North Sea. The new fuel facility has the capability and capacity to service any vessel that comes into the port.
