YORK SCIENCE PARK JOIN PRESTIGIOUS NORTHERN POWERHOUSE PARTNER PROGRAMME

Following the successful launch of the Phase One start-up business incubator, York Science Park has been named as the newest members of the Northern Powerhouse Partner Programme.

The Science Park offers flexible office and laboratory spaces to innovative companies working in sectors including science, creative media and tech. The new Phase One incubator programme offers start-ups and spin-outs the chance to benefit from free office space, mentoring and business support from a range of experts.

Having joined the Northern Powerhouse Partner programme, the Science Park is now part of a network of more than 200 businesses across the North excelling in areas including innovation, trade, investment and culture.

The Northern Powerhouse is Government’s vision for a more prosperous North with good-paying jobs for hard-working people, better roads and railways, higher-performing schools and world-beating universities. Northern Powerhouse Partner Programme is an essential part of creating the Northern Powerhouse. Government is growing a network of partners who all believe strongly in the economic potential of the North, and support the need for a combined effort by government and business to realise that potential.
